John came to know Christ from atheism as a senior in high school. Jesus radically transformed John’s life giving him purpose, meaning, and a personal relationship with his creator. God called John to ministry while attending college at Kent State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Conflict Management. Following college, John attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree. During John’s time in seminary, he met his wife Katherine. Katherine was formerly a missionary in Thailand and John is quick to point out that Katherine is his better half. John and Katherine have two young children.

Some of John’s ministry experience includes being a full-time Pastoral Intern, leading the youth and children’s ministries at his home church in northeast Ohio, and being a Young Adult Pastor in southern Indiana. John currently serves as Pastor after serving as the Associate Pastor of Student Ministries at Fellowship Baptist Church for two and a half years and interim pastor for five months.

John’s favorite thing to do in his free time is spending time with his family. He enjoys cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes (please don’t hold that against him). John even admits to having a bit of a geeky side and enjoys anything superhero related.
