Youth Ministry

Fellowship’s Youth Ministry is a relaxed place for students to take a break from the ordinary and enjoy time with each other and be encouraged to become fully formed disciples of Christ.

    KNOW                GROW                SERVE            SHARE

Come join us Sunday mornings at 9:45 – 10:45!  During our Sunday school, we have an opportunity to share life together as we update each other on our weeks as well as study the Bible in an engaging and systematic way.

Come join us Sunday nights at  5:00 –  6:00!  Our Sunday night community group is a laid-back time of being together at Brewed Awakenings coffee shop. It starts with a game or team building activity that allows us to have fun and laugh together. Then we move into a time of studying God’s word taught in an easy discussion-based format. Friends are always welcome and can jump in anytime. (Brewed Awakenings is located near the church at 7025 E. Michigan Ave. in Saline.)

Events with a purpose! Youth Group is supposed to be fun! We have events where our students grow in fellowship and have an easy and friendly jump in point for new friends!

Pastor John is excited about serving as Associate Pastor of Student Ministries at Fellowship Baptist Church. John came to know Jesus as a senior in high school and is passionate about seeing teens have a real and living walk with the Lord. John believes in the importance of discipleship and enjoys hanging out with his students. John also likes to have fun by geeking out over anything comic book related.  John’s wife Katherine is his better half. Katherine was formerly an IMB missionary and middle school teacher. John and Katherine have two boys.

Our youth discipleship statement: A real disciple of Jesus will be a knowing, growing, serving, and sharing Christian, who lives these marks individually and together with other believers.

Knowing – having a personal relationship with God and worshipping him.

Growing – constantly maturing in Christ through spiritual disciplines and through community.

Serving – empowering every member to minister according to their God-given spiritual gifts.

Sharing – that it is the responsibility, joy, and privilege to share our experience of God’s grace both locally and globally.

Lastly, all four things are to be done “together” in the context of the local church, being equipped and encouraged by it and held accountable to it.
